PLEASE DO NOT TAKE YOUR OWN LIFE BECAUSE –

1. THERE IS A HELL TO SHUN.

Jesus describes it.
            1) “but whosoever shall say, Thou fool shall be in danger of hell fire” --- (Matthew 5:22).
            2) “And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell” ---(Matthew 10:28).
            3) “And if thy hand offend thee, cut it off: it is better for thee to enter into life maimed, than having two hands to go into hell, into the fire that never shall be quenched: Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched.” ---(Mark 9:43).
            4) “And cast ye the unprofitable servant into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.” ---(Matthew 25:30).
            5) “When the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels, in flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ: who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of his power” ---(2 Thessalonians 1:7-9).
            6) “But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.” ---(Revelation 21:8).

2. WHEN DEATH OCCURS THE SOUL DOES NOT DIE.
            1) In Matthew 10:28 it shows that only God can destroy the soul and those souls who are not saved by Jesus Christ will continue to live in torment after death. In Luke 16:22-24 it is stated: “The rich man also died and was buried; And in hell he lift up his eyes being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom. And he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame.”
            2) At the judgment day those unprepared will be told, “Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels.” ---(Matthew 25:41)

.
3. GOD EXPECTS EVERY RESPONSIBLE PERSON TO USE HIS LIFE TO GOD’S GLORY.
            1) Jesus calls all men to him. “Come unto me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart; and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.” ---(Matthew 11; 28-30). There is not a burden that we have that is too heavy if we have Jesus to help us bear it. Instead of taking your life come to Jesus to give you rest.
            2) God wants us to glorify Him with our bodies and our souls. “What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s.” ---(I Corinthians 6:19, 20). He expects us to live on this earth just as long as we can and to use our lives as a blessing to God and in behalf of others. To take one’s life would keep one from glorifying God in His life.

4. SUICIDE IS SELF MURDER AND IT IS LISTED AMONG THE WORKS OF THE FLESH.
            1) “Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.” ---(Galatians 5:19-21). To not inherit the kingdom of God would shut one out from the blessings of the kingdom, and since Christ is to deliver up the kingdom to God (I Corinthians 15:24) one guilty of murdering himself would be left out of heaven.

5. TO GO TO HEAVEN IS THE PURPOSE OF GOD FOR ALL PEOPLE. It took the death of Christ to make this possible (Hebrews 9:12). We need to obey him for him to be the author of eternal salvation for us (Hebrews 5:8, 9). Run that Christian race instead of giving in to your troubles (Hebrews 12:1-3).
